Dictated ("we", "our", "us") is an iOS logbook for daily activity, nutrition, vitality, and finances. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Dictated reads data from Apple HealthKit (steps, heart rate, HRV, sleep, weight) with your explicit permission. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Any financial entries (expenses, income, budget allocations) you log in Dictated are stored locally on your device. At launch, all finance tracking is manual entry only.
Dictated does not collect analytics, usage data, IP addresses, or device identifiers. There are no third-party analytics or tracking tools in the app.
All processing happens on your device. No data leaves your iPhone or iPad.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Dictated has no server-side component, no user accounts, and no cloud sync. Your data stays on your device.
All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard frameworks. If you delete the app, all Dictated data is removed. If you back up your device via iCloud or Finder, Dictated data is included in that backup.
Dictated accesses HealthKit data only with your explicit opt-in permission, granted through the standard iOS Health permissions dialog. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access. We never write data to HealthKit — we only read what you authorize.
All data is stored on-device using iOS's built-in data protection. No passwords, no accounts, no authentication tokens. No network requests are made by the app beyond checking for App Store updates through standard iOS mechanisms.
Dictated does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts, no registration, and no data transmitted off-device.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
