Doctrine — Terms
Last updated: May 21, 2026
By downloading, installing, or using Dictated ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
Dictated is an iOS logbook application that helps you track daily activity, nutrition, vitality, and personal finances. All data is stored locally on your device. The App reads health data from Apple HealthKit with your permission and does not constitute medical or financial advice.
Dictated does not require account creation, registration, or login. There are no user accounts, no cloud services, and no server-side data storage. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your device.
You agree not to:
Dictated reads data from Apple HealthKit solely to display activity, vitality, and wellness summaries within the App. This data never leaves your device. The App does not write data to HealthKit. Health summaries provided by the App are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for medical decisions.
Financial entries in Dictated are manually entered by you and stored locally on your device. The App does not connect to bank accounts, payment processors, or financial institutions. Financial summaries are for personal record-keeping only and do not constitute financial advice.
The App, including its design, code, visual identity, and content, is owned by Dictated. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without prior written consent.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that HealthKit data will be accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dictated shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of your use of the App. Because all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining backups.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
If you have questions about these Terms of Service, please open an issue on our GitHub repository or contact the app developer.
